It all started in 2003 when Texas businessman Don Davis purchased the Canadian manufacturing facility that once housed Sovereign Yachts.  He was able to keep many team members and re-opened as Richmond Yachts.  Over the past several years, Richmond Yachts has become one of the world’s top custom fiberglass shipbuilders and has proved and will continue to maintain it’s pedigree in the boat building industry.

At Richmond Yachts, we believe that our employees are a key part to the company’s success.   Our innovative design team works together to create yachts that are not only beautiful, but also well built.  Our expert fiberglassers and painters work hard at attaining a flawless and impenetrable exterior.  The interior design and décor is done in-house with many thanks to our woodshop and all the talented hands that create the intricate inlays, joinery and finishing. We also thank Pavlik Yacht Design for working with us to create our original design on our second hull, 138’ Status Quo, on which we at Richmond Yachts have built and implemented our own new ideas with the help of our senior joinery draftsman, Romeo Sarmeinto.   Keith Kiselback, our Chief Operating Officer, has built over a hundred boats and truly has a passion for boat building.  Keith’s passion and hard work combined with project manager Alan Fleet’s talent in yacht design, quality control for craftsmanship and ability to oversee over 150 employees makes Richmond Yachts a well-oiled machine that will continue to produce top of the line mega-yachts.

Richmond Yacht's six-acre yard in Richmond, B.C., contains a 70,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility under cover and has the capacity to simultaneously build four composite yachts from 120-feet to 155-feet in length.  To date, Richmond Yachts has successfully completed six beautiful yachts and is currently underway with the seventh hull: the second 150 foot tri-deck motor yacht.  So far, we have built Canada’s largest mega-yacht and plan to go even larger!  With the yard located on the west coast of North America and our sales office located on the east coast in Fort Lauderdale, the “yachting capitol of the world,” we are able to stay globally connected for past, present and future Richmond Yacht owners.  We encourage anyone looking for the utmost quality in a custom yacht to let us build the boat of your dreams.
